Make sure that rental companies notices all the bumps and scratches before and after you use the car.

Purchasing add-ons :

Take your own child seat and navigation sets on journey instead of purchasing or getting them from the rental company as they would be adding its charge in your rental charges. Instead of paying for the things you already have carry those things along with you to save money.

Buying all waiver insurances:

Staff at rental company front desk would always try to sell all the insurances. Be wise and purchase only those insurance waivers which are not covered in your life, vehicle, and house owner insurances. There are certain things which are covered in your personal insurances then what´s the need of investing in same.

Paying in other currency:

Don´t get influenced by the tricks of the car rental providers. Avoid paying in other currency as you might have to pay more than the actual amount. Try to pay in local currency as it would reduce the currency conversion charges and it is quite cheaper if you pay in local currency.

Less awareness towards license rules:

Be updated about all the changes made in the rules related to the license, fines and points marked over it. Make sure that you verify all your documents to the concerned authorities and to the rental company so that you don´t face any issues later.
